Schwarzsee natural lake

The harmonic lake (approx. 15 ha large and 7 m deep) is one of the warmest and likely also most beautiful swimming lakes in the Alps. Thanks to its peat content, the water has a strong healing effect.
Lake Schwarzsee is a local recreation area with many sports options such as swimming in the municipal open-air pool or at the Alpenhotel, fishing, rowing and electric boats, fitness course, walkway around the late summer: winter - ice skating, ice hockey, Bavarian curling, winter hiking.

Aurach Wildlife Park

Aurach Wildlife Park captivates with its unique location with panoramic views of the Kitzbühel Alps and its animal inhabitants: watch red and fallow deer, European mouflon in Tirol’s largest open-air enclosure, such as alpine ibex, lynx, yaks and many other animals. The impressive wildlife feeding at the large feeding place takes place daily at 14:30.

A highlight is the petting zoo: home to goats, donkeys, sheep, llamas, mini Shetland ponies, rabbits and guinea pigs. Children big and small can let off steam on the large wilderness playground, on which everything revolves around Willi the wild hog.

Visit the start house on Hahnenkamm and inspect the full distance of the likely most infamous racecourse in the world - The Streif!

Alpine flower garden on Kitzbüheler Horn

In the Alpine flower garden you’ll find more than 300 plant species from across the globe, which as a total package make up a unique botanic feast for the eyes. According to experts, the garden is one of the most beautiful in the European Alps. At 1,880 metres and with an area of around 20,000 m² it boasts a spectacular play of colours in a breathtaking alpine panorama.

Route/signposting
Hornbahn – Alpine flower garden – cable car station Alpenhaus or from the Alpenhaus to the Horn summit – Lämmerbühelalm – Kneipp pool – Bichlalm – and back along the same route or down along the old Sonnberg trail to Kitzbühel.

Free guided tours are available in July & August at 11:00 and at 13:00 a children’s tour takes place! (daily except Saturdays). You can make your way up to the Alpine flower garden with the Kitzbüheler Hornbahnen cable cars from May to September. Entrance Alpine flower garden, can be reached with Hornbahn I and Horn-Gipfelbahn summit lift.

Museum Kitzbühel-collection Alfons Walde

Museum Kitzbühel

The Museum Kitzbühel - collection by Alfons Walde is housed in two of the oldest historic buildings in town and provides a unique insight into the history and culture of the town and region of Kitzbühel. Selected exhibits, film and audio installations tell the story from Bronze Age mining around 1000 BC, the town history and up to the time of winter sports with Toni Sailer and the legendary “Kitzbühel skiing wonder team” of the 1950s.

Farmhouse Museum Hinterobernau

If you hike along the sunny side of Kitzbühel, along Römerweg (Roman Trail) below the Kitzbüheler Horn, you’ll get to the Farmhouse Museum Hinterobernau. Surrounded by lush meadows and green forests lies the weather-beaten typically Salzburg-Tyrolean Farmstead with its outbuildings, such as washhouse, chapel, baking oven, beehouse, threshing floor and vehicle shed. Plenty of furnishings, tools and equipment can be viewed, so a visit is always rewarding.

Sportspark Kitzbühel

The sportspark Kitzbühel is a successful combination of sports and fun with an attractive range of activities for the whole family, for groups and for singles – from big to small, from junior to senior. Those who want to be active and meet nice people, are in good hands in the sportsspark.

On an area of 4,500 m², a wide range of activities are available under one roof - open year-round and with multiple uses. Hornpark St. Johann in Tirol

Tirol’s unique and thrilling climbing forest & high ropes course in St. Johann in Tirol. The Hornpark climbing forest St. Johann features a climbing forest / high ropes course found nowhere else in Tirol until now for young & old in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps.
Take the gondola for a leisurely trip up to the intermediate terminus of the St. Johanner gondola lift Harschbichl (Kitzb. Horn). There you’ll find the largest adventure high ropes course in the Kitzbühel Alps on an area of 25,000 m² with more than 85 elements and breathtaking attractions.

arena365 Kirchberg in Tirol

The arena365 Kirchberg offers a suitable idea for every day. In addition to high-carat cultural events in the arena hall, visitors will find a multitude of sports and leisure options. Skittles, bowling, billiards, darts and gastronomy are all located on the ground floor. On the first floor, visitors will find two tennis hardcourts, a 3-D-indoor archery facility as well as a dance studio. Those with a penchant for sports can find optimal advice in the Injoy Fitness studio plus any number of health tips.

National Park Worlds Mittersill

The National Park Worlds feature nine stations in which guests will get an impression of the exciting cultural and natural landscape of Hohe Tauern National Park.

The Highlight is the Eagle’s flight- panorama, in which visitors float over the most scenic landscapes, valleys and summits in breathtaking film-flights.

Ellmi’s Magic World

Get on board the “magic express” and in only 7 minutes reach Hartkaiser Mountain, where you’ll be welcomed by a mystical fairytale world of fairies, goblins and forest spirits, but most notably by our magic frog “Ellmi”. Its nature and adventure park leads you through colourful flora and fauna and, who knows, maybe you’ll even learn something to boot! You’re in for a surprise....

Witches' Water Hochsöll

In the wet-n-wild nature experience “Witches' Water” in Hochsöll, even the coolest of boys forget that they not really like hiking. Reservoirs, water channels, climbing ponds, mud pools, fireplaces (more than 60 stations) make sure boredom doesn’t stand a chance.

Parents can get some inspiration in the Kneipp-pool, have their reflex zones massaged on Austria’s longest “barefoot trail” across grass, mulch and rocks. A highlight for guests young and old.

Triassic Park - Steinplatte Waidring

Up into prehistoric times? But of course! Amidst the breathtaking Tyrolean mountains, where today the Steinplatte Mountain rises up, some 250 million years ago everything was under water. No, this was not because of a gigantic water-pipe burst! The primordial ocean sloshed over all peaks and summits – and in it many different animals which today we cannot even imagine anymore.

Krimml Waterfalls

Along the 4 km long Krimml waterfall trail you’ll find numerous viewing towers, allowing visitors to see the falls from up close in secure terrain. The climb up to the top Achenfall takes one hour, the intermediate fall requires a 30-minute hike and the bottom waterfall can be reached in 10 minutes. At the waterfall bottom area, the section has built an information centre and then information site with numerous presentation boards.

The Krimml waterfalls with their 380 m are among the highest in the world. The first level with the Upper Fall has a drop height of 140 m. This is followed by a short, flat section, the so-called "Schönangerl", from which the Middle Achenfall plummets down over the second, 100 m high, level. The third level with the Lower Achenfall is more than 140 m high.

Kufstein

The small Tyrolean town of Kufstein with 15,000 inhabitants, the “Pearl of Tirol”, lies at the foot of the nature reserve of the "Zahmer" and the "Wilder Kaiser".
The characteristics and appeal of the small Tyrolean town lies in the many, exhilarant contrasts Centuries-old culture vies with impressive nature. Kufstein Fortress is centre and landmark of the town. Enjoyment of a different kind awaits you when the Heroes organ rings out. The Heroes organ, the biggest outdoor organ in the world with 4,307 pipes (it rings out daily at 12:00 as well as in July and August at 18:00).

Rendezvous of the senses at Riedel Glas in Kufstein

"ADVENTURE OF PERCEPTION" is the name of the new attraction, which allows visitors to experience the art of glassmaking up close in the show cottage and in the attached "Sinnfonie", a staging of perceptions and art experience, which carries visitors off into the world of the Riedel philosophy, both visually and acoustically.

In the manufactory in Kufstein, the glassmakers still produce the world-famous Riedel glasses with the utmost care and precision, following this antique method of handblowing. Opening hours Factory Tour and "Sinnfonie": Monday to Friday 9:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00

Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens

The Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens/Tirol lead you into a breathtaking world of sparkling fantasy and fabulous reality.

In the Crystal Worlds lie hidden the magnificent treasures, guarded by a water-spewing giant, who magically pulls in the viewer.

Old quarter Innsbruck & Bergisel ski jump

The provincial capital Innsbruck is surrounded in the north by the North Chain of the Karwendel Mountains and in the south by Patscherkofel Mountain.
